Ammar Campa-Najjar grew up in Chula Vista, California and worked on Barack Obama‘s presidential re-election campaign as a deputy regional field director before joining the Obama administration in the Executive Office of the President. He worked at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as a communications and marketing director and for the U.S. Department of Labor as a public affairs officer. He also founded ACN Strategies. Campa-Najjar graduated from San Diego State University.
He has now returned to his home town where he is running for Chula Vista Mayor.
